German transmission system operators publish biogas cost redistribution amount for 2023

The German market area Trading Hub Europe (THE) has determined the biogas levy applicable for 2023: this amounts to 0.6983 euros per kilowatt hour per hour per year (€/kWh/h/a). The costs for connecting to the grid and feeding in biogas are distributed equally among the fees for exit points to directly connected end consumers and downstream network operators of the transmission system operators in Germany.

In accordance with § 7 of the cooperation agreement in the currently valid version ("KoV") in conjunction with the biogas cost roll-up guideline, the FNBs publish the specific biogas cost roll-up amount that applies uniformly throughout Germany.
