Hydrogen

Gas as a source of energy will be a permanent and significant element in the energy system of the future. Both hydrogen producers and consumers are given priority and non-discriminatory access to the gas transmission system of bayernets.

As an expert for the transmission of gaseous energy sources, bayernets is well equipped for the future transmission of hydrogen. If you are planning to operate a hydrogen production plant in the bayernets network area or if you need hydrogen for your industrial processes, bayernets is the right contact for you.

Should you be interested in connecting to the gas transmission system of bayernets, please send us your network connection enquiry, which should include at least the following information:

  • Short description of the project
  • Exact location where the network connection will be needed
  • Minimum and maximum entry or exit volumes at the planned network connection point in standard cubic metres per hour and per year
  • Minimum transfer pressure at the planned network connection point
  • Date from when the network connection will be needed

bayernets is happy to actively support you not only if you have questions regarding the implementation but also with the contractual regulations for your hydrogen network connection. Employees of the Asset-Management team are available to assist you in this matter.

For your network connection request, bayernets will check the technical requirements at the desired network connection point case-by-case. Biogas and hydrogen injection requests for admixture are generally subject to a compatibility test of the mixed gas with the gas quality requirement in accordance with current regulations and interoperability with the directly and indirectly affected gas infrastructure.
