Capacity products

The following capacity products are offered by bayernets GmbH:

Firm, Freely Allocable Capacities (FZK)

FZK allows shippers to use booked entry and exit capacities on an unrestricted, firm basis without defining a fixed transmission path. The entry capacity entitles the shipper to provide gas at the booked entry point for exit at any booked exit point in the same market area or for transfer to the virtual trading point (VTP) of the same market area. The exit capacity entitles the shipper to offtake at the booked exit point the gas provided at any booked entry point of the same market area or at the virtual trading point (VTP) of the same market area.

Interruptible, Freely Allocable Capacities (uFZK)

uFZK allows shippers to use booked entry and exit capacities on an interruptible basis without defining a fixed transmission path. Entry capacity entitles the shipper to provide gas at the booked entry point for exit at any booked exit point of the same market area or for transfer to the virtual trading point (VTP) of the same market area. Exit capacity entitles the shipper to offtake at the booked exit point the gas provided at any booked entry point of the same market area or at the virtual trading point (VTP) of the same market area.

Conditionally Firm, Freely Allocable Capacities (bFZK)

bFZK allows shippers to use booked entry and exit capacities on a firm basis without defining a fixed transmission path if a predefined, external condition is fulfilled. Otherwise, use is on an interruptible basis. The entry capacity entitles the shipper to provide gas at the booked entry point for exit at any booked exit point of the same market area or for transfer at the virtual trading point (VTP) of the same market area. The exit capacity entitles the shipper to offtake at the booked exit point the gas provided at any booked entry point of the same market area or gas available at the virtual training point (VTP) of the same market area. The conditionally firm, freely allocable capacities (bFZK) offered by bayernets GmbH are temperature-dependent, i.e. use of this capacity product on a firm basis is possible if a predefined temperature condition is fulfilled.

Firm, Dynamically Allocable Capacities (DZK)

DZK allows shippers to use booked entry and exit capacities on a firm basis if, in the case of entry capacity at the booked entry point, gas is provided for exit at a predefined exit point of the same market area or, in the case of exit capacity booked at the exit point, the provided gas is withdrawn at a predefined entry point of the same market area. Otherwise DZK can be used by shippers on an interruptible basis without predetermining a transmission path. The entry capacity entitles shippers to provide gas at the booked entry point for exit at any booked exit point of the same market area or for transfer at the virtual trading point (VTP) of the same market area. The exit capacity entitles shippers to offtake at the booked exit point the gas provided at any booked entry point of the same market area or transferred at the virtual trading point (VTP) of the same market area.

DZK capacity allocation restrictions

Marketing exclusively via the capacity booking platform PRISMA

bayernets GmbH markets the entry and exit capacities exclusively via the capacity booking platform PRISMA, the European transmission system operators´ common online capacity booking platform. At cross-border interconnection points as well as at network connection points to gas storage facilities, the marketing of capacities takes place through auctions. At network connection points to end-consumers and to biogas plants, marketing takes place on the so-called First-Come-First-Served basis (FCFS), whereby capacities are allocated according to the time of enquiry.
