Network map
Our network area is located in southern Bavaria and covers an area of approx. 35,500 km². For Bavaria, the neighbouring federal states and Austria, we provide the required gas infrastructure to reliably supply the connected network customers – such as municipal utilities, power stations, storage facility operators, industrial and adjacent national and international transmission system operators – with gas at all times.
In Principle it is possible to inject gas into our transmission system. For network connection requests, we check the technical requirements case-by-case at the desired network connection point. Biogas and hydrogen injection enquiries for admixture are principally subject to a compatibility test of the mixed gases with the gas composition requirement in accordance with currently valid regulations and with the interoperability with the directly and indirectly affected gas infrastructure in the network.
Our network lies in the south of the Trading Hub Europe (THE) market area. Our network connections enable the Austrian market areas “Regelzone Ost”, Tyrol and Vorarlberg to connect with the THE market area.
