5. Booking transport capacities via PRISMA
If you are interested in booking capacity at a storage facility or cross-border interconnection point along our network that requires nomination, you are required to buy the desired capacities on auctions.
A network connection point can be provided by end-consumers themselves or by an authorised supplier. To organise this, you as a shipper must book FCFS (first-come-first-served) capacities on the PRISMA capacity trading platform.
Capacity product prices vary depending on their type. Additionally, a multiplier is applied to the intra-year transport fee in accordance with the provisions of “MARGIT 2025“ (BK9-23/612) Tenor 2) or “BEATE 2.0“ (BK9-18/608) Tenor 2a). The multiplier for intra-day products is 2.0, the multiplier for a daily product is 1.4, the multiplier for a monthly product is 1.25 and the multiplier for a quarterly product is 1.1.
A biogas and market area conversion levy is charged for capacities at network connection points for end-consumers and, where applicable, a metering fee. For an hourly capacity exceedance at a network connection point, shippers are required to pay 10 times the fee for firm capacity at that network point on the day of exceedance, based on the highest hourly capacity exceedance on a given gas day as set out on the bayernets price list. An hourly capacity exceedance is defined as the difference between the capacity that is actually used and the capacity that was booked or that remains available - after capacity reductions – on the respective day.
All transport fees on the price sheet (link below) are listed without a multiplier and are therefore to be multiplied by the respective factor when calculating fees for intra-year bookings.
