Dashboard for Security of Supply

As a transmission system operator, we are responsible for securing the supply of energy in Bavaria, southern Germany, Tyrol, Vorarlberg as well as for adjacent national and international networks. To maintain Germany´s high standards of supply security, our transmission system must at all times meet the necessary  transport requirements.

This dashboard provides you with an overview of storage levels especially relevant for our network area along with information relevant to you about the current gas consumption data of directly connected grid customers. You will also find temperature data (historical and forecasted).

Storage Data

The storage facilities directly or indirectly connected to our network in Bierwang, Breitbrunn, Haidach (AT)*, 7 Fields (AT)*, Wolfersberg and Inzenham are crucial for the security of supply in southern Germany. The following chart shows the current and historical filling levels of these storage facilities over the last 5 years.

* the storage shares allocated to Germany in accordance with the bilateral agreement between Germany and Austria dated 17 February 2023

Gas Consumption Data

The following chart shows the weekly gas consumption data of the consumers connected to our network or to downstream networks. The average consumption as well as the minimum and maximum of the last years can be configured to categorise the data.

Temperature Data

The daily average temperature is a significant factor that impacts gas consumption. The historical temperatures of the last 2 years (daily average or weekly average) and the forecast daily average temperature are shown here. The data refers to the temperature measuring point at Munich Airport, which is representative of our network area.
